Financial Education & Empowerment

More often than we care to admit, the financial struggles and negative feelings about we have money, come about because most of us were never educated about personal finances and the money system in which we are expected to effectively manage or navigate daily. Most of us would be considered financially illiterate either because we have not been taught the basics of money or because we have not made any attempt to educate ourselves in this area.

As children, our parents encouraged and pushed us to be educated, to develop a budding career in the hope and with the belief that what you earn will make you well-off or wealthy. But really, what you earn does not equated to a well-managed and balanced financial life.

Our education system has been designed to teach us different principles, methods, and theories on many subject matters but very little is taught, if any, about personal finance. From a young age, most are encourage to get degrees, certifications or designations and study hard to launch into a career that will hopefully be financially rewarding for you. Unfortunately, people who take the higher education route are faced with debt before they even make their first dollar. When you enter into the marketplace, you are faced with debt and wonder if you have a fighting chance to eliminate it!

But even for the financially well-off, the dilemma is not much different. For those who have grown up in wealthy families they are faced with much more that they know how to handle. Similar to those who come into wealth suddenly, the financially well-off with inherited wealth often don’t have the know-how to manage money, that is, how to maintain and increase it. Sadly, many at this social status are perplexed about money, burdened by it and struggle to keep up with the financial responsibilities.

This being the challenge, The Life Success Company and Pamela Carmichael, aim to provide sound money education to those who want to improve their financial knowledge and financial health.

Money skills are equally important to successful living as much as basic mathematics and language skills. With this in mind, we offer a series of financial education workshops to teach basic money skills and understanding of important financial concepts along with introducing elements of money coaching to support the learning process.
